Brooks loved books, and as teachers, we wanted his legacy to impact students in our community long after his passing. Thus we established the "Books from Brooks Memorial Scholarship" to assist students with post-secondary textbook fees. Twenty-four (24) NCSD graduates have received Brooks' $2000 scholarship ($250/semester over eight semesters) with thirteen (13) other graduates receiving partial scholarships. We will begin accepting applicants from the Class of 2025 in early April 2025.  ​ 

Applicants must be high school seniors set to graduate from a Natrona County School District high school. In addition, students must complete the scholarship application and list of extra-curricular activities: (work, volunteering, arts, music, athletics, clubs, and organizations) and write an essay describing how they have exhibited character, courage, leadership, and perseverance in their life.
